How to remember dreams ?

      How to remember dreams   ?
Remembering   dreams is a skill that can be practiced. All you are really remembering are snippets of the last dreams you had before you woke up, the REM stage.  The rest is filled in or confabulated.  These facts are proven beyond the slightest bit of doubt.
When you wake up, don't get out of bed immediately.  Just lie there and see what you can come up with.  If you can't come up with anything, (after the second alarm) get up and go on with your morning routine, but still try to remember any dreams throughout the morning.  It might take several nights before you'll remember any dreams.  The trick is to be persistent and want to remember them.  You might try reading books on the subject of dreams.  That way you will keep your mind focused on the subject.
If you cannot remember any dreams at all, then there are some things you can to help you remember.  Just before you fall asleep, make a suggestion to yourself that you will remember your dreams when you wake up.  You might try and look for an alarm clock that has two alarms. That way, you can set one alarm to wake you up long before you really have to get up.

When you remember a dream, record it immediately, no matter how much you think you'll remember it later.  Most often, you'll forget it if you don't record it immediately.  If you don't remember a dream after the first alarm, just snooze until the next alarm goes off.
If you know that you'll have to get up in an hour, you will be more likely to stay half awake waiting for the next alarm.  That way, you'll be more likely to catch a dream in that period.

You could use another technique called creative imagination and try to let your unconscious mind guide your conscious mind to an understanding of the meaning of this dream symbol. In creative imagination you try to bridge the gap between the unconscious mind and the conscious mind using free form art. Some people do it with doodling; you can start with a mental image of the characters, and using a pencil and paper, just let your mind and pencil wander, drawing or writing whatever your impulse guides. Sometimes when you look at what you've drawn afterward you have a gestalt and the meaning becomes clear.

Every dream has a "meaning" if we know how to hear it.  I think they come from a deeper or higher level than our conscious thoughts, so they seem strange to the waking mind.  But if you pay attention to them and start learning the language of symbols, they can help you with problems and issues in your life.  They can warn you about coming dangers and opportunities and help you "know thyself" and develop your full potential.  This is true for me and for many people I know.
